It’s located in downtown across from the metro station and the service is always Amazing Portion sizes are large and you will have left overs . Parking is conveniently located on the side of the restaurant and if the lot is filled you can part in the free garage. ”

“ Staff were fantastic and understanding. I ordered GrubHub and despite specifying delivery, my order was put through as Pickup. Sugar Bowl was very kind and helpful offering to remake for a delivery if GrubHub reprocessed. Meanwhile GrubHub simply said "oh were sorry but the order has been fulfilled as Pickup" and adamantly refused to reprocess a delivery. I went to the restaurant and Daniella was not only very kind they even remade my order so I didn't have cold food. I would recommend coming here. ”
“ Lived in this area for TOO LONG NOT to have come here. This was amazing. Came in on a Saturday morning and was greeting by a very nice person right up front and sat us at a new cleaned table. Came out immediately before we sat down with Rico who brought waters, drinks, and tea was like a service. Full box and a Julius Meini set. We got the skillet (10/10) amazing with the perfect perfect perfect pancakes on the side. This was super filling and simply great. I personally got the Biscuits and Gravy with Eggs (an absolute MUST!) and the hash browns were more of a home style and super crispy and fresh. Absolutely 10/10 from the atmosphere (super relaxed and cozy) to the perfect customer service from everyone all around, to the food which was spot-on. Will be back, 100%. Thank you! ”

It wasn’t creamy which surprised me. The Nutella crepes were rich and sweet, as excepted, and simply divine. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and corned beef hash. All three were really, really good. High quality, decent pricing! ”

A family favorite for over 60 years! Ice cream parlor as a kid to family restaurant today. Check it out if you're in downtown Des Plaines! ”
